Roppongi Revisited
August 27, 2011 in Uncategorized
Allan is back in Roppongi to visit the spider again Friday August 26 for a third time. It has now been four months since the original spot check.
As per previous posts the reading was taken on top of the pavement under the spider statue at Roppongi Hills. Reading was just taken moments before a large storm hit, you can see people scurry away as he waits with an umbrella for the readings to average.
Results to date:
April 28, 2011, reading was 87 microRads/Hr (0.87microSv/Hr).(approx 8x normal background level).
May 26, one month later reading was 66 microRads/Hr, (approx 6x normal backround level).
August 27, now four months later reading is 44 microRads/Hr, (approx 4x normal backround level).
There have been many opportunities for the radioactive particles to wash away, including a wet season and summer storms but positive readings still evident though slowly reducing month by month.
Perhaps will revisit here end of year.
